Abstract: In this interactive presentation, I will describe my perspective on how to publish in international publications. I will describe the path to publication for the different articles that I have been successful with. I will also be happy to share my experiences as an Associate Editor of some of the premier OM journals, and as a referee for several academic journals.

Naren Agrawal教授簡(jiǎn)介：

Naren Agrawal is a Professor in the Department of Operations Management & Information Systems, and has served on the faculty since 1992 in Santa Clara University. He currently serves as the Associate Dean of Faculty. He was a visiting professor at The Wharton School in 1999, 2000 and 2010, and at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, in 2004 and 2006. He holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, B.H.U., India; M.S. in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas; and an M.A. and Ph. D. in Operations and Information Management from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Naren’s expertise is in the areas of supply chain management, service supply chain management, and manufacturing competitiveness.  He is a co-editor of a book titled Retail Supply Chain Management, and has contributed chapters in a number of books. He has published his research in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Interfaces, Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Journal of Retailing, and Production and Operations Management. He serves on the editorial review board of Production and Operations Management, and is an Associate Editor for MSOM.

Naren teaches courses in supply chain management, operations management, computer based decision models, and service operations in MBA and executive MBA programs.  He has conducted numerous management development seminars internationally and consulted with companies in the retail and high-technology industries, including AAFES, Adaptec, Barco, The Gap, Hewlett Packard, IBM, KLA-Tencor, ONGC (India), Overstock.com, Pemex (Mexico), Schlumberger and Silicon Image.
